How to See Your Doctor

We have an appointment surgery in the morning between 8.30–11am and between 3.20–6.00pm in the afternoon.

To obtain an appointment please telephone 01438 312097 between 8.30–6.00pm, or call into the surgery and speak to our receptionists.

We are now offering online appointment booking and ordering repeat prescriptions with SystmOnline (via the link at the top of this page).

To register for your username and password to access the new online prescription and online appointment booking system please bring a photo ID to reception.

If there are no free appointments available and you feel that you need to see a doctor urgently please explain this to the receptionist who will arrange for you to be seen as soon as possible. You will be given an appointment with the doctor of your choice if at all possible.

Appointment length is generally 10 mins unless the GP/nurse/staff advise you otherwise. If you have a number of problems you may be asked to book a further appointment.

  • Make an appointment in advance if possible.
  • Make separate appointments for each person to be seen.
  • Use emergency appointments appropriately.
  • Let us know if you can't keep an appointment.

Emergency Appointments

We do our best to offer same day 'emergency appointments' to patients who feel that their condition is too serious to wait until the following day.

We would respectfully ask that whenever possible, requests for 'emergency appointments' are made as early as possible in the day preferably before 10am. when three or four doctors are available to share the workload.

This will result in smoother running of surgeries and less delay to our patients.

Appointments can be made by ringing 01438 312097 between 8.30am to 18.00pm.

If you need to discuss more than one problem with the doctor, it is advisable to book a double appointment.

Our appointment line is very busy between 8.30am and 10.00am. If you do not require an emergency appointment, please ring after 10.00am.

Waiting Times

We will do our best to ensure that patients are seen on time but occasionally some appointments run over, please bear with us if you are kept waiting.

Self-Login Screen

Please use the Self-Login Screen when checking in for appointments, especially at busy times where the receptionists may not be able to serve you.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to a doctor our Receptionist will leave a message with the details you want to discuss for the GP. The GP will either contact you or leave appropriate advice.

Please give the receptionist your contact details, if the message is urgent let the receptionist know.
