Our Nurse runs a full package of Health Promotion clinics, these are held by appointment (click here for details). Please telephone or call into reception.
We provide care in co-operation with the Lister Hospital where all mothers are referred for delivery. We do not provide care for home births. The Midwife holds her clinic on Thursday afternoons.
Baby Vaccination Clinic is held with the Practice Nurse on Wednesday mornings.

If you are taking medication for blood pressure please book an appointment with the Practice Nurse to have this checked every 6 months.
Chronic Disease Management (e.g. coronary heart disease, diabetes etc.)
There are special clinics for diabetic patients who are not followed up by the hospital.
All Partners have a good understanding of the modern management of respiratory diseases. Advice is available for assisting newly diagnosed asthmatics and patients with COPD and the review of patients. Our Nurse also runs an Asthma clinic/COPD Clinic.
A full range of contraceptive care is provided by appointment including advice and the prescription of the different types of pills, the fitting of caps and coils and injectable contraceptives.
All advice, even for those under 16, is of course confidential.
Influenza epidemics tend to occur most winters and can give a very unpleasant illness to most people which normally settles without special treatment by using simple measures such as staying warm, drinking plenty of fluids and a regular dose of a medicine such as paracetamol.
Certain groups of people are at risk of developing complications of the "Flu" and for these groups a vaccination is recommended.
The At Risk Groups are:– Over 65 year olds and those with diseases such as Diabetes, Asthma and Heart Disease. We actively vaccinate from October onwards.
A new injection is needed each year for full protection against the latest strains of the disease.
These procedures are only carried out by appointment with Doctor at reserved times.
Our Doctors and Nurses can provide advice and support. Our practice Nurses run Stop Smoking Clinics by appointment, as well as helping you access nicotine supplements on prescription. You can also ring the Herts Freephone helpline on 0800 389 3 998.
Travel Vaccinations (charges apply)
Any time, by appointment at least 8 weeks before travel. A travel form (available from reception or download one here) should be completed before this appointment is booked. Tetanus booster injections are advised.

Practice Based Phlebotomist
We are pleased to announce there will be a practice based phlebotomist for all GP requests for bloods. These appointments are NOT available for consultant let requests due to limited capacity nor INR and are for over 18 year olds only.
